Built as two dedicated Flutter apps — one for customers (iOS & Android) and one for technicians/staff (iOS & Android) — backed by a unified platform using React.js, Next.js, Node.js, and Python. OpenAI powers intelligent job matching between customers and nearby technicians, scheduling optimization, and automated customer support. MongoDB handles all job, user, technician, and appointment data at scale across a nationwide operation serving top technicians who earn over $2,000/week.

Traditional home services were fragmented, opaque in pricing, and unreliable in availability. Puls changed that by building a fully vetted, background-checked nationwide network of 5,000+ technicians deployable on the same day across major U.S. cities. The platform covers TV mounting, appliance repair, handyman services, garage door repair, iPhone repair, plumbing, smart home installation, and more — all backed by upfront transparent pricing and a 90-day service guarantee. Today, Puls is trusted by over 2 million households and has expanded into a Puls Whole Home membership offering year-round home coverage.

Our Approach

The project required building two distinct Flutter apps from a single ecosystem — a consumer-facing customer app and a technician-facing staff app — both for iOS and Android. The customer app handles service browsing, instant booking, real-time technician GPS tracking, appointment management, and the Puls+ membership. The technician app manages job dispatching, schedule control, earnings tracking, and customer communication. The backend runs on Node.js and Python microservices handling job lifecycle, technician matching, routing, and payment processing. React.js and Next.js power the web platform and internal dashboards. OpenAI drives smart technician-to-job matching based on location, skills, and availability, as well as intelligent scheduling and 24/7 automated customer support. MongoDB serves as the primary data store across all users, jobs, locations, and transactions at national scale.
